Should I size down?

Yes. It's a medium-thick knit — warmer than our fine-rib sweaters — and made for fall and winter.
Does it pill?
Like most soft knits, it can pill a little with wear, especially under the arms. A quick pass with a fabric shaver keeps it looking new.
